Record high in the Dow, but median wage remains stagnant. [129]. Republicans block cannabis legislation and minimum wage increases. 1967-2013 mean household income (in 2013 dollars) by quintile and top 5%

War on drugs cannon

VoteMedicalMarijuana.org - poor legislative record of most Republicans. Their lobbyists have lots of money. [130] -->>

California: Prop. 47: Initiative to reduce prison sentences. And: After California decriminalized marijuana, teen arrest, overdose and dropout rates fell.

Voting for most Republicans keeps boots on the ground longer: In cannabis wars, in Sunni-Shia holy wars, in cultural wars of the Religious Right in the USA. It all distracts from the failure of trickle-down economics [139] of the 1%.

If a bigot like Henry Ford can figure out higher wages (and hemp), maybe so can the do-nothing Republican Congress.

Preview from anonymous poster: Saturday 5/3/08 Most likely will start off in public stair, follow smoke if you get lost! I've attended a couple of these, its all good times, they usually provide security and its a virtual cornucopia of potheads all gathering together in protest of marijuana prohibition. I <3 the last time I went, we formed a circle around the justice center(jail for you retards) holding hands then went across the street to the Park of the fallen officers and there was music and lots of peoples, good times, I even went by myself, its a very friendly environment! Definitely a sense of anger tho, so bring yer cams! Can't fucking wait! W00t!

Cost of drug warEdit

Cost of U.S. drug war:
Cost of U.S. drug war. Even $1.5 trillion dollars is conservative since many crimes are committed in order to get money for drugs. Correction costs alone averaged $30,600 per inmate in 2007. A Chart That Says the War on Drugs Isn't Working. By Serena Dai. The Atlantic Wire. 12 Oct 2012. "The numbers on this chart alone don't add up to $1.5 trillion, which represents a more inclusive count of drug control spending, with prison costs and state level costs determined by the Office of National Drug Control Policy, but instead to $800 billion." Cory Booker on the Drug War

[7][8][9][10]. Cory Booker, mayor of Newark, New Jersey: "I'm going to battle on this," the mayor says. "We're going to start doing it the gentlemanly way. And then we're going to do the civil disobedience way. Because this is absurd. I'm talking about marches. I'm talking about sit-ins at the state capitol. I'm talking about whatever it takes."
