This easy to grow plant is our most popular. It is of medium height and produces good yields quickly. Extremely strong odor; take extra care when around neighbors.
The name was given not out of any idea of violence but more in regards to way it is a "one-hit wonder".
These plants have a short flowering period for a Sativa, producing compact, not too leafy buds that gleam with a coating of resin crystals.
AK-47 is the only plant to win an award in the Best Sativa category (second prize in 1999) and later in the best Indica category (second prize in 2003) of the High Times Cannabis Cup because the strain shows the best traits of both cannabis species.*
In 2005 it won the first prize in the Highlife Cup in Barcelona and first place in the Sativa Cup of the Treating Yourself Expo, 2010 in Toronto, Canada.
